MULTIPLE DISTRICT 35 SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR COUNCIL EXECUTIVE TREASURER POSITION EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 2024
Multiple District 35 is inviting applications for the position of Council Executive Treasurer to take office July 1, 2024. Applications will be received effective immediately until December 31, 2023, as such time screening and interviews will be scheduled for Saturday January 13, 2024, in Orlando. The successful candidate for the position will be announced and they will begin training/transition immediately working with the current Secretary/Treasurer and Office Manager who will be stepping down from the position June 30, 2024.
Council Executive Treasurer Position Description
Qualifications for the position of the Council Executive Treasurer include having knowledge and experience in the management of budgetary operations of Lions Clubs at the district and/or multiple district levels; having a working knowledge of computer programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, e-mailing, texting, teleconferencing (Zoom), etc.; and willingness to abide by the Lions Code of Ethics.
The Council Executive Treasurer of Multiple District 35 is responsible for maintaining the financial records in order to ensure the Multiple District operates within its fiduciary capacity. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving all funds and accounts receivables, depositing funds in proper accounts, maintaining multiple checking accounts, disbursing funds for accounts payable as authorized by the Council of Governors, coordinating with the Council Secretary and banking institutions to transfer banking signatories on MD accounts, reconciling bank accounts, working with auditors and Finance Committee on annual review of financial records, preparing and submitting financial reports to the Council of Governors, and delivering, in a timely manner, at the end of his/her term, the financial accounts, funds and financial records of the Multiple District to his/her successor.
