Chairpersons Roles & Responsibilities
Convention Chairperson
The Convention Chairperson works on behalf of the District Governor to execute a successful convention for the Lion members of the district.
Childhood Cancer Chairperson
This Lion raises awareness and educates Lions and Leos about childhood cancer and identifies viable service opportunities to benefit affected families and support existing medical services.
Diabetes Chairperson
This Lion organizes effective service projects to help fight diabetes in their communities within the district.
Disaster Relief Chairperson
Disaster Relief chairpersons serve at the district and multiple district levels and support Lions and Leos engaged or interested in disaster relief and preparedness service activities. They empower clubs to organize, providing the leadership, inspiration and best practices needed for effective service and stakeholder engagement.
Environment Chairperson
This Lion provides clubs with the assistance they need to organize environmental service projects in their district.
Communications & Technology Chairperson
The Communications & Technology Chairperson assists district and club leaders with digital communication, marketing, and technology tools. This Lion helps promote district activities through social media, websites, eDistrict House, e-Clubhouse, and other publicity resources while encouraging effective communication and public awareness throughout the district.
Humanitarian Chairperson
The Humanitarian Chairperson helps promote compassion, service, and community support throughout the district. This Lion encourages clubs to identify humanitarian needs, organize meaningful service projects, and work together to improve the lives of individuals and families in their communities.
Hunger Chairperson
This Lion provides clubs with the assistance they need to organize hunger service projects in their district.
Leo Chairperson
District and Multiple District Leo Chairpersons support the growth and success of Leo clubs by encouraging leadership, service, and engagement among young people. These Lions work closely with Leo clubs and advisors to promote meaningful projects, strengthen communication, and inspire the next generation of Lions leaders through mentorship and service opportunities.
Lions Quest Chairperson
The Lions Quest Chairperson promotes positive youth development by supporting Lions Quest programs within the district. This Lion helps clubs and schools encourage leadership, service, life skills, and healthy decision-making for children and young adults through educational and community partnerships.
Peace Poster Chairperson
The Peace Poster Chairperson promotes the Lions International Peace Poster Contest by encouraging youth participation and helping clubs organize local contests. This Lion works with schools, families, and communities to inspire young people to express their ideas about peace, understanding, and kindness through art.
Vision Chairperson
The Vision Chairperson promotes vision-related service projects and encourages clubs to support programs that protect eyesight and assist individuals with vision loss. This Lion helps organize vision screenings, eyeglass recycling efforts, and community awareness activities while supporting access to eye care services throughout the district.
Youth Chairperson
The Youth Chairperson encourages and supports programs that help young people grow through leadership, service, and community involvement. This Lion works with clubs, schools, and youth organizations to promote meaningful opportunities that inspire the next generation to serve, lead, and make a positive impact in their communities.
